๐ŸŽฏ What happens when you dive into a hackathon with ideas, ambition, and a laptop? Wellโ€ฆ you donโ€™t just code โ€” you collaborate, innovate, and grow. Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Galgotias Innovation Hackathon (GIH) โ€” a whirlwind of creativity, problem-solving, and caffeine-fueled brainstorming. ๐Ÿš€ While our team didnโ€™t make it to the final round, the journey was anything but a loss. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป It wasnโ€™t just about winning โ€” it was about learning, pushing limits, and building alongside brilliant minds. Hackathons like these remind me that: โœ… Itโ€™s okay to fall short โ€” as long as you stand taller next time โœ… Real learning happens outside the comfort zone โœ… Every challenge faced = one step closer to mastery And yesโ€ฆ we walked away with new skills, new friends, and a new respect for tight deadlines. ๐Ÿ˜… Hereโ€™s a snap from the event that captures our hustle and heart ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ‘‡ Huge thanks to Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology for nurturing a culture of innovation and giving students like us a platform to experiment, fail fast, and level up. ๐Ÿ’ก Now Iโ€™m curious โ€” if you had just 24 hours to solve one real-world problem, what would you build?

Most of us buy the same items again and again, yet the search journey often slows us down. Typing, scrolling, navigating, and facing out of stock dead ends create friction that breaks momentum. For this concept case study, I explored how Zepto could simplify early steps and turn repeat purchasing into a smooth, habit-forming flow. A simple lift, drag, and drop interaction that lets users add or increase quantity without losing rhythm. This reduced time per item and improved repeat purchase velocity. ๐Ÿฎ. ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—”๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—”๐˜‚๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ Search predicts what users may need based on time of day. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner. This helped users reach their first item faster. ๐Ÿฏ. ๐—ฆ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฝ Unavailable items auto replace with relevant alternatives based on user habits. This kept users in the journey and lowered drop offs while improving trust in recommendations. The goal was clear. Reduce early effort, keep users moving, and create a faster, more intuitive way to reorder essentials.
