Day 1 of the 3-Day UX Trilogy with Rajat Patel and my brain is officially rebooted.
We didn’t start with empathy maps or persona boards.
We started with reality data, behaviour, and cold, hard product insights.
The first session took us deep into how Zepto structures search, and honestly, it was nothing like the typical “understand the user’s pain” lecture.
Instead, we dissected:
🔍 Patterns users actually follow
📊 Engagement and conversion metrics that drive decisions
⚙️ How usage frequency and cohort behaviour refine the entire UX strategy
🤖 Where AI fits in to enhance search as an experience, not just a feature
And somewhere in the middle of all this, something clicked for me.
Today, being a designer isn’t enough.
You have to think like a product strategist and a business owner, not just someone who makes screens look great.
That’s where real influence begins.
We broke down Zepto’s design DNA speed, simplicity, and scalability and learned how to evaluate UX based on clarity, flow efficiency, and adoption.
But the knockout moment?
Rajat Patel saying he avoids personas and studies user cohorts instead.
That one line completely rewired how I think about understanding users.
If Day 1 brought this level of depth, Day 2 and 3 are going to be next level.
I’m fully strapped in for the ride.
A big shoutout to Designare for organising this mind-expanding trilogy with Rajat.
